Development of enclosures for medical devices

We provide the time and expertise of highly specialized professionals, and their work cannot be offered at a low cost. Employing such experts in-house would result in even higher expenses.
Often, the complexity of a project turns out to be more significant than initially anticipated. While many clients believe their enclosure is simple, the development process often reveals that it will take not just one month, but three. Interestingly, none of Red Ring Design clients have yet admitted that their enclosure is complex.
The final cost is determined not only by the complexity but also by the product size, batch volume, and specific manufacturing requirements. Clients typically underestimate the project cost by 1.5 to 2 times

We define deadlines in the contract, but the main guarantee is our experience. We have completed over 300 projects, established efficient processes, and know how to avoid delays. We take all factors into account, even things like the Chinese New Year, when factories shut down and production comes to a halt

We operate worldwide. All our manufacturing partners are located in different cities, and our employees work remotely.

1.Clients from any city have no issues with process control. Here's how it works: We break the project into stages and sub-stages. The more sub-tasks there are, the easier it is to monitor the process: you can immediately see what’s been done and what hasn’t, and take prompt action (for example, asking for acceleration). We immediately proceed to the next stage.

2.We conduct third-party quality checks. The developed documentation is approved with the manufacturing plants. This ensures that the documentation will be of high quality and won’t cause production issues, as well as helps assess the future production cost.

3.We archive data. During long development stages, we save dumps of the model and documentation to preserve all data in case anything is lost.

Additionally: We work exclusively through electronic document management (EDM) in accordance with Russian law via the "Diadoc" service for Russia, and via Docusign for the rest of the world. Contracts are concluded by Formlab LLC for Russia and Red Ring Design LLP for Kazakhstan and the rest of the world. Payments can be made in rubles, dollars, euros, tenge, and yuan."

Unfortunately, we require clients to be registered businesses due to legal agreements governing ownership of the work results.

Because it is made using non-series production technologies: each element, each part, each assembly will be produced as a one-off.

A unique program will be written for your prototype on the machine. A specialist will fine-tune it manually. Much more time will be spent on it, thousands of times more, than on a similar mass-produced device. The price of the prototype is based on all of this

The difference in technologies and their cost per unit is to blame. What costs pennies when producing thousands of units will cost tens of thousands of rubles when producing just a few dozen items.

Formlab is not a manufacturer: for each order, we find the specific production facility, and all documentation is tailored to it during the design phase. This way, we are not limited by technologies.

We select the best production option with the customer's benefit in mind. We help prioritize: saving time and avoiding supply chain issues, preventing defects when releasing expensive products, reducing costs, gathering all services in one place, or maintaining full control over the process.
